Globally, human economic progress and development activities have been consistently at the expense of meaningful social connections, ecological health and diversity. This has, for instance, manifested in urban sprawl that contributes to social alienation, health problems and threatens Australian rural and natural open spaces/landscapes Within this broader phenomenon, I will focus on the Greenline’s network of open spaces to establish the contextual framework to speculate future interventions.
